New Co-CEO for Framen: Ingo Rieper to Lead Expansion into U.S. Market

Ingo Rieper, a seasoned media and digital industry veteran, has taken the helm as Co-CEO of Framen, an international digital out-of-home (DOOH) platform provider. Framen, a subsidiary of Axel Springer SE, announced Rieper's appointment as part of its growth strategy, with the aim of expanding into the U.S. market through a strategic partnership with WeWork, starting in August 2025.

Rieper, who brings extensive experience in media, outdoor advertising, and digital companies, has spent over a decade working at StrĂśer, an outdoor advertising company. Prior to joining Framen, he served as CEO and CFO of Handelsblatt Media Group for over four years. Most recently, he left Media Pioneer, a company he co-founded in 2019, and served as CEO until January 1, 2025.

During his time at Media Pioneer, Rieper played a crucial role in the company's growth and development. His appointment at Framen is part of the company's ongoing growth strategy, with Rieper expressing his excitement about driving the strategic development of Framen.

Christoph Eck-Schmidt, Chief Commercial Officer & Chief Marketing Officer at Axel Springer, emphasized the significance of Rieper's appointment, stating, "Ingo's expertise and industry knowledge will be invaluable as we continue to grow Framen and expand into new markets."

Rieper will be joining Dimitri Gärtner as Co-CEO of Framen. The company, which was founded in 2018 and is headquartered in Berlin, has evolved from a startup to an international platform provider in the digital out-of-home sector since Axel Springer's acquisition at the end of 2020. Framen currently operates a network of over 30,000 connected screens, spanning across 32 countries, and is located in various places such as coworking spaces, gyms, and hotels.

Rieper is looking forward to his new role as Co-CEO of Framen and is eager to lead the company in its expansion into the U.S. market. With his extensive experience and industry knowledge, Rieper is poised to make a significant impact on Framen's continued growth and success.
